For dinner we returned to the wonderful Czech pub off Wenceslas Square. I had duck, Sara had potato soup, and the jolly proprietor offered us some thing from the menu (in Czech) that he translated in his broken English as "zour cucumber." It was as cheap as could be, and I was curious to try this Czech delicacy, but Sara and I both laughed when he brought us an ordinary pickle.

Sara and I agreed— Prag is our favorite city so far. It is beautiful, historic, clean, easy to get around, friendly, tasty, and above all inexpensive! This city that we had no expectations about, that we visited simply because it's on the way from Wien to Berlin, turned out to be the diamond in the rough that we will now treasure forever.
