Pinacate Mountains Field Trip

As part of our Evolution of Planetary Surfaces course (PtyS 554) led by Professor Jay Melosh, we made two field excursions. The first was to the Pinacate volcanic field in Mexico in February 1995. We examined various volcanic features, craters and lava flows, and also did some excellent four-wheeling in the sand dunes of the Gran Desierto.
