Since I got my first car in 1989, I have traveled the roads of America extensively. In the course of my various road trips I have been to 47 States and 7 Canadian provinces. One of my special interests is the American National Park System. I have visited 44 of our 58 National Parks, over 50 National Monuments, and many other NPS historical areas. In addition to seeing new places, I love traveling because it gives me an opportunity to get outside to do some hiking, camping, and photography. I have traveled abroad to 21 countries, including a trip Round-the-World in 1998 and a Millennium trip to Fiji and Hawaii with two New Year's Eves! In 2006 I traveled to Turkey for a total solar eclipse; this Mediterranean excursion also included Egypt and southern Europe. |
